NeedleFelting: Art Techniques and Projects by Anne Einset Vickrey with Patricia Spark and Linda Van Alstyne This is the best and most thorough book on this fun technique. Fundamentals of Feltmaking: Enlarged Edition

by Patricia Spark $11.95
This is a book for the beginner felter who is interested in a thorough approach to this ancient craft. All aspects of basic feltmaking are covered. Chapters include choosing the fiber, supplies and equipment, preparing the fleece, making a test sample, shrinkage and weight calculations, making felt flat, making three-dimensional felt (as in hat making), finishing the felt, methods for creative design, and avoiding common problems.
