Cestari 2 Ply Worsted Weight Wool Yarn

The review by knoabuck made me decide on this yarn for my sock project. This rustic and slightly scratchy (not processed or overprocessed) yarn resembles "ragwool" and has a nice loft. I like the stretchy and sturdy feel for my "around the house" footwear. A good choice and beautiful yarn, can't wait to order more exciting colors. The care instruction says machine wash but the label says hand wash, which I will do if necessary.

I bought this yarn after getting frustrated at the amount of pilling my expensive superwash yarns would produce. Lately, I've been on the lookout for more rustic wool that will last with wear. I've knit hats from the Cestari and was happy with the amount of yarn for the price and how sturdy the wool was. There were no knots or vegetable matter and the colors are nice. Choose this for warm winter wear...great for hats, mitts, sweaters. I haven't used it for neckwear so can't say how soft it is on sensitive skin. (Note from Paradise: You are right on track I'm knitting with this yarn currently and really love it. It will stand the test of time and not pill out on you and is really pretty darn soft. I also love the stretchy feel and bounce. -Travis)
