Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook

I got this book for Christmas and I'm enjoying it a lot. As a newish spinner (about a year), I'm still very inexperienced with all the different fibers available to handspinners. Although I doubt I will get to try my hand at all the fibers listed in this book, I find it to be very informative and helpful as I'm trying to make fiber choices when I don't have the option of feeling/seeing in person. And it's cool to learn about the other fibers even if I will never get to try them.

This is my very favorite book! The info is fantastic and the photography is absolutely gorgeous. Deb Robson breaks down each breed and lets the spinner know the history and characteristics of the fiber involved. There are pictures of the raw fiber, washed fiber, and various yarns made from the different preparations. I will admit that I often pick this up just to thumb through and look at the pictures, but it is also an invaluable resource for information about the fibers discussed. BUY THIS BOOK!!
