Ashland Bay SUPERWASH Blue Face Leicester Top

I used to be all about merino for plying with my alpaca for making socks. Then I started spinning BFL. Wonderful complement to my fine fleeced alpaca. This superwash is just waiting to be dyed. It has wonderful luster and handle! And the price is very good!

This is my favorite super wash fiber, and it's great especially for the price. It is very soft to the touch and when I kettle dye the fiber it takes the color extremely well. I will definitely be back to buy more! Will not felt and is one of my best sellers at fiber festivals

This BFL is spectacular! I admit I'm a yarn and fiber junkie. But sometimes I spin BFL just to be spinning BFL -- without any project in mind. I know I'll be able to dye and use the handspun yarn any way I wish because it's such an all-around great fiber.

I liked the first 2 pounds of this wonderful fiber so much that I asked for more for my 2012 Christmas gift. The 1.5 pounds I received is just a great as the first purchase. Spins wonderfully, either lace weight or bulky. SOFT. Dyes well with Country Classic dyes.

I love how well this spins up! But the best part is how well it takes dye. I have some of the most vibrant yarns from this Top... and so soft and yet very strong. Truly a joy to work with. And the price makes it even nicer. I will definitely continue to purchase!

I natural dyed this along with other fibers and this BFL took the dye best. Golden Rod dye came out a rich beautiful color, better than Merino or Alpaca. Loved the way it spins too! Longer staple length makes it an easy spin.

I was absolutely amazed at how soft this fiber was! It was much softer than other super wash fibers I have worked with. Plus other super wash fibers I have purchased had a static affect to them, this did not. It soaked the dye up wonderfully through my kettle dying and sold fast in my shop ;0) I will be back for more!

Doesn't act like a superwash fiber in the prep process, it retains all the wonderful qualities of BFL but the added bonus of superwash. Probably my favorite superwash base to work with!

I use this fiber more than anything else. Nice and soft, dyes up very well, drafts nicely, good price, and very fast shipping. It is wavy ones its been wet and dried though, I do wish it was straight, but not a big deal.

I am brand new to spinning. This superwash BFL dyed beautifully, and was easy to learn to draft with. Nice long staple length, I was actually able to spin it fairly thin. I ordered it and regular BFL and have been happy with both. It isn't as soft as Targhee, but a lovely fiber!

This BFL took dye beautifully and is a dream to spin. It drafts easily and has such a lovely sheen.

I am just learning how to dye, and this soft SW BFL was really a delight to work with! Takes color beautifully and is so soft!
