Ashland Bay Superfine Merino Top Ecru 19 Micron 80ct

Great to spin, and took dyes really well. Will definitely buy again!

I purchased this top for spinning a very, very fine lace weight yarn (34+wpi) to make a wedding ring shawl for my new daughter-in-laws wedding day. This top spun up beautifully and the shawl was a hit with my daughter-in-law as well as her family and friends. They all want me to make them and sell them. Since I have only been spinning for 2 years, I would have to say that it spins up easily to any weight yarn. And it is soooo, soooo soft. For lace weight a little goes a long way and I will be purchasing more to try dying and blending with perhaps bamboo or silk. It does tend to want to spin really fine.

Haven't yet used much of this, but so far, it is wonderful. Also, order processed promptly and trouble-free.
