Ashland Bay Panda Superwash Merino-Bamboo-Nylon 60/30/10 Top

I got this fiber on a whim just to use up a credit, and i am back for more. i LOVE this fiber, i am spinning it into some sock yarn with y cascade drop spindle, and it is absolutely wonderful, so slippery and easy to draft, make a lovely yarn. If i can, i will come back to update when i have washed/dyes, plied, knit with, whatever, since that is pretty important. But in the meantime, IMHO (as a NEW spinner) this fiber is awesome.

I had a little bit of trouble dyeing this up as it is a very slippery fiber and fulls apart easily. I'm sure with time I would get used to dyeing it. The finished product, once it is dyed, is wonderful! It stays soft and looks great with the streaks of bamboo and the sheen.

This roving is very soft and a joy to spin. The fibers slip quite a bit, so the way I spun it was by pulling out about a yard of roving, and spliting several (8-10) lengths and them drafting to get a fine yarn for socks. I then plyed with a silk trread and the result is soft, and strong. I haven't dyed it yet, but that is next. Yes, I will buy again and continue to experiment with this roving.

I've been dying this stuff for weeks, loving the subtle, and sometimes not-so-subtle striations formed by the dye taking differently into the different fibers. Gorgeous!

So tonight I sat down to spin it. I've spun everything from silk hankies to wool right off the sheep, alpaca, and angora off the bunny. This stuff takes the cake! It's like heaven running through your fingers!

I'm sold... hand-dyed custom colors in a fabulous fiber that is a joy to spin. Tell me I'm in a rut, but I don't need anything else.

I opened the bag, stuck my hand in and never wanted to take it back out. I bought this to spin sock yarn, and it's certainly going to be used for that, but oh! How fantastic this would feel next to the skin in a silky, slinky sweater. I can't wait to get a chance to dye it, with all the glowing reviews on how well this fiber takes color. Gonna order more of this stuff ASAP.

Dyes well and fluffs up nicely after coming out of the dyepot. Spins easily and makes a nice strong yarn with a healthy dose of shine. I was impressed with its softness and look forward to durable socks.

this is one of my favs! i love how it dyes with stripes of bright white where the bamboo is! super soft! awesome and fluffy! yumm!

Fantastic fiber, it is the pefect blend of wool/bamboo/nylon.

This blend is going to be used at a dye party, so I am particularly looking forward to seeing the contrast in the colors among the three different fibers, the merino, the bamboo, and of course the white streaks that will result from the nylon in the blend.

This is awesome fiber. I spin for socks and this stuff is not only strong and easy to spin, but oh so soft!

As a dyer and spinner I found this roving to be especially easy to work with. It didn't split in water and took dye incredibly well, then spun up like a dream!

I love this superwash blend. It dyes easily, and spins smoothly with the nylon and bamboo adding a nice subtly shimmer.
