Ashford Merino/Silk Sliver 80/20

I've only spun about an ounce of this, but it's quite nice. However, I think I still might prefer the Ashland Bay merino and silk that I purchased from Paradise Fibers earlier.
At any rate, I am always very happy with the fiber I buy from Paradise; it's a good value, ordering is easy, and service is excellent.

I'm currently spinning the mango colorway and it is indescribably beautiful! The color changes are subtle and perfectly matched for the main theme colorway and the luster of the silk sets the colors off perfectly. Since the product was listed as "sliver", I expected to receive thin strips (like you get with mulberry silk), rather than a wider combed top. I was wrong. The top is a generous width and I split it into quarters and sometimes eights for spinning. It spins beautifully and easily, sort of like fluid off the fingers. I'm seeing how far a pound takes me and will probably order more as this merino/silk blend is truly luscious and I'm planning to make an evening top with the finished yarn. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.
