I purchased the larger knitter’s loom after a disastrous weaving class at a local shop. Undaunted I went ahead, purchased the loom, followed the enclosed instructions, purchased numerous books and a multitude of yarns for warp and weft. Have been using only wool/wool combined products so I can perfect my felting techniques. Having a blast!!! Only wish the Knitter’s version had a place for adding the extra heddle for double heddle weaving. Definitely recommend this product from Ashford!

The knitters loom is basically a high quality rigid heddle loom designed for travel. This loom is built for durability much like the Flip loom from Schacht and is very high quality. It's one of our favorite looms here at the shop and a great middle of the road choice in our rigid heddle loom category.

This loom is terrific for weavers on the go and knitters who are ready to try their hand at weaving and have a lot of fun getting started. Warping these little fellas is a breeze and the projects in the Ashford Book of Weaving for Knitters is packed full of hip and easy projects that even non-weavers can tackle. This loom is the easiest way to get started weaving and it's so portable you can take it on the plane!

Quality

The 12" Ashford Knitter's Loom is my first step into weaving. It folds into a very compact carrying case, so is easy to transport and takes very little room to store. It is easy to operate. I was able to warp and weave immediately by following the included instructions. It is a great size and price to get started. I'm expanding my skill with classes at my local shops and find it to be a good size for learning, as well. I highly recommend it as a first or final loom.
